Sourcing Bentley's 1997-2003 A8 repair manual CD's

I realize that the 'link' below is for usa company...but it still might be worth looking deeper into for another source....


I was checking several of the internet auto shops (generally retail) that I have purchased parts & pieces from...including Ross-Tech (vagcom).

I then tried google "shopping" function & found PartsGeek.com

The best I could find was $81.65 + UPS Ground $7.50. Ordered it around 3pm this past Wednesday... arrived today from Chicago area warehouse around 1:45pm (Thursday)...YES, less than 24 hours via Ground !!!

Chicago suburbs (Franklin Park, Il.) to Saint Louis, Mo. burgs...approximately 330 miles easy...

I was extremely surprised...I even thought that PartsGeek may have upgraded me to overnight w/o informing me....however, I double check the packing list & shipping label on the box...GROUND !!!

Needless to say...I was overjoyed...making me a happy new 2001 year !!!

Quickly checked in w/Bentley's customer service that Thursday afternoon...you get two (2) computer serial #'s...changeable over lifetime...just drop old computer...add the new computer via internet Bentley account.

Also working over MSFT's Vista...good instructions to work around install issues...same for Norton's 360 Anti-virus & Firewall setups !!!

If you don't use the partgeeks 1st mentioned link...you get a slight price increase from $81.65 to $86.94....

however...while I was searching for some other parts, I found even a better deal for those still considering their needs for the Bentley's computer repair manual...

I wished I could have gotten this price but just didn't run across the better price...source for about a month after I got mine from partgeeks...

I'm not getting any rebates or affiliation commissions...just trying to help other Audi owners...

When I spoke w/Bentley's customer service to get the cd rom installed properly on my msft vista operating system...they give you two (2) licenses for a max of two (2) computer @ any one time...but that you can delete & add to other computers via the cd rom and/or online update to your original license...regardless from where you purchased your license....Bentley's direct or from an anuthorzed retailer...like partsgeek or all-foreign.com...etc.

That seems wonderful to me...I got on my desktop (vista) and the other on an old laptop (xp pro).
