An interesting debate I'm sure

OK, we've all grown up knowing about this:



And loving it dearly.

But what do we think about it 30 years on?



Personally, I think it's rather bloody gorgeous, but then we all have our own taste.

It's rumoured to be pushing out 408bhp, which is nice. Especially when coupled with a weight of 1300 kg!!! All wrapped up in a rather sweet longitudinally mounted 5 cylinder mota

0-62 is expected to be around 3.9 seconds, imagine what it'll be like with a few tweaks to that engine?

I like it... and given the craziness that can go on with the 5-pots previously, I'd expect someone to have 1000hp out of it within a few months.

Interior looks nice a restrained which can be a good thing too.

Even I grew up loving the original and I only hit the early in late 1990. New one does look fairly nice too.

Audi have got some very seriously cool machinery in the pipelines....and most of it isn't too far removed from the original concepts.

It's all do-able they wern't that far off in the 80's with the group B evo cars.
