Cleaning it
For those of you that don't know my 8 isn't exactly the most prime example out there, in fact if i ever get to a meet you wanna park next to it as it'll make yours look fantastic.
But i'm going to have a go at this cleaning lark. I have some stuff already but will need to make an order sometime from detailed obsession for a good polish. I need a good polish as i have lots of swerls (Mike will educate me on what one when i see him next ). But i will use what i have first just to make room for new stuff as space is something i struggle with.
List of cleaning stuff is:
Meg's wash mitt
AG shampoo
Mer polish
Dodo juice purple haze wax
AG extra gloss protection
Some tyre dressing a freind gave me years ago
My right arm to apply it all.
I know Audi paint is tough ut as i don't own a polisher or know anyone with one so i'm going for it the good old way (just as well it's not a big car)
I'll get photo's uploaded after i've had a stab at it

Re: Cleaning it
Hey Dezzy
Good luck with the cleaning.
Don't forget Mike has a polisher and he can't help himself when it comes to dirty '8's (oh er)
Amar's (now mine) G220 polisher has arrived this evening so I'll probably be swapping stories about how bad these are because it can't be us wrecking the paintwork its got to be the polish or polisher
Looking forward to the results
Steve

Re: Cleaning it
What you thinking should i just park it up outside his house, go for a walk up on the moor and come back to a gleaming 8 as the shame of a swerlly one on the drive would just be too much for him?
It sound good but knowing my luck i would make a 3 hour round trip and find out he's not home How stupid would that be?
I don't mind doing it to be honest, i try to keep it clean but it does make my arm ache. And washing the 8 well thats not too bad either

I didn't realise you were so far away geography was never my strong point
You never know a swirly 8 might be too much for him.
Good luck getting the swirls out by hand. I tried that and 2 days later it looked shinier but still swirly

I appreciate the offer Darren but I'll be very busy trying to

b) de swirl the car

It's not too bad a drive to be honest and it's a good road when it's not busy, i was expecting Mike to come back with something as i drove down the other day, 5 mins from his house i text to say i'm close only to find out i had my months mixed up and he wasn't there so i drove home again. What a numpty
