Hello all,

My name is Phil i got my car a couple of days ago, im new to this luxury motoring in fact i swapped my Nissan 180sx for this car, kind of one extreme to another!

Ive always liked the A8 i used to work for a hire car company that looked after the audi contract so got to drive a few top end Audis including A8's, Q7's even a RS6.

Anyway my car is a 1999 4.2 V8. Im loving it at the moment except there is a knocking noise from the nsf wheel (quessing suspension steering arms??) and the radio volume not working which im told is a common fault?

Im liking all the electric toys especially the seats, electric headrests and seatbelt adjuster how lazy is that! Very Happy

Anyway hope to learn from here as i like to do as much work as possible on my car myself.

Welcome Phil Very Happy

The A8's are a great car (had mine for coming upto 3 years and still enjoy driving it) and I think still look cool.

Make sure you get some pictures up of your car please.

Haha! Yeah no problem! Laughing

It looks clean in the pictures but the paint work is full of swirl marks also could do with a really good polish!
